Suicide Squad, meanwhile, has been pushed into 2023, so no, these will not be overlapping. Gotham Knights was recently delayed to its new release date of October 25, putting it in the always-crowded holiday window. In the past, different Batsuits were usually just cosmetic, but that is not the case here. It's been a remarkable and dizzying summer and I consider myself extremely privileged to work with such an outstanding team at WBGM.We also get a little bit more insight into the fact that unlike the Arkham series, Gotham Knights has a bit of “looter” components to it, as we see gear with different rarities and mod slots to boost your performance in combat. They provide a solid overview of GK's features and content, and gave the dev team an opportunity to go into depth on the kind of details we usually have to summarize in a hurry: Truly we are the land of the sneaky:Īnd finally, although the build-up to Gotham Knights' launch has been amping up steadily for the last two months, it was particularly cool to see IGN's month long IGN First coverage during August (with some additional content dropping in September). We are in some outstanding company including of course Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, but also an impressive selection of other Canadian-made titles: Klei's Mark of the Ninja, Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex Human Revolution, and Ubisoft Montreal's Assassin's Creed. Next, it was really cool and gratifying to see Spinter Cell Blacklist (2010) included in Polygon's 'Ranking the 9 best stealth games' last month. They are currently 3 episodes into their look at Far Cry 2 (2008), and it's been fun to recall a lot of the work that went into some of the specific elements from that game: Brett Douville and Tim Longo have already covered over 50 titles, and they tend to look at a lot of my favorites, especially among immersive sims and strategy games. If you're not already familiar with their amazing podcast, Dev Game Club produces multi-part deep dives into a wide range of older games. Now that I have a brief moment to catch my breath, I thought I'd call out a few really recent items online that touch on a few of the games I've worked on (In historical order): where the #GothamKnights team have been working incredibly hard (and smart) to put the final touches on our game as we converge rapidly on the October 21st street date. But the last two months have been propulsive, especially here at WB Games Montreal Inc. I haven't typically posted much on LinkedIn, other than to pass along articles and items of potential interest to my network. #design #designer #content #experience #employment #students #gamedevelopment #designers #book #leveldesign #worldbuilding #leadership Get your copy today and take your level design skills to the next level!
